ASSABET NATURE VISITOR CENTER - SOUNDSCAPES AND NIGHT ROOM

Immersive natural soundscapes programmed into the the main exhibit area and interactive kiosks of the Assabet's Nature Visitor Center provides a lively 3 dimensional sonic experience that reflects quintessential events of the region's most notable natural events and wildlife. They include Spring Thunderstorm, Honking Waterfowl, Breezy Day and Snow Squall. These soundscapes can be initiated on command by staff and are synchronized with special lighting effects.

 

3 additional soundscapes mixed to reflect changing Assabet's wildlife chorus of sounds  from early morning into the mid day and evening provides a backdrop of the main exhibit area.

 

They Are Watching You: Wildlife at Night features a narrated soundscape synchronized with visuals of an interactive mural that guides the audience through the captivating sonic world of Assabet's wildlife at night.

THE APALACHICOLA NATIONAL ESTUARINE RESEARCH RESERVE SOUNDSCAPES

The giant mural of the Apalachicola's National Estuarine Research Reserve Center depicts the extensive river ways,  estuary, islands and the gulf ecosystems which are complemented by immersive  soundscapes, produced, recorded and mxied to reflect a sonic snapshot of the interconnected habitats.

 

A special exhibits features interviews with fishermen, sharing their experience about the decline in the bounty of their harvests in the face of development and fishing pressures.

THE ARCTIC NEXT DOOR: MOUNT WASHINGTON SCIENCE AND NATURE EXHIBIT AT ECOTARIUM

An interactive journey recorded in High Definition taking the users from the foothills to the summits of Mount Washington, the highest peak in the Northeastern United States at 6,288 ft (1,917m),  famous for its erratic weather and breathtaking scenery.

 

The production was specifically formatted for Technofrolics' Spin Browser Technology and is installed  at The Arctic Next Door Exhibit of the Ecotarium Science and Nature Center.
